Every flag in a Time Trial multiplayer race: what causes it, what it does, and how race control decides. Switch on the rules your lobby uses below and everything on this page follows them. The simulators use the same numbers as the game's server.
Crash some cars and see what race control calls, with the rules switched on above. The clock runs while you watch.
The safety car runs at 86 km/h. How fast you may go depends on how close you are to it.
Passing a car is not allowed under a VSC, the safety car or a red flag (anywhere), or inside a yellow zone (both cars in it).
Doesn't count when the other car is in the pit lane, wrecked, crawling (under 3 m/s), not sending its position, or went back to a checkpoint after a wreck.
Two warnings with 8 s each to fix it, then the black flag. Slide the time along.
Standing still = below 1.5 m/s for 6 s. Wrong way = 50 m backwards along the lap (driving forwards takes it off; a respawn jump doesn't count). A warning is forgotten after 90 s of clean driving. Also not counted while loading.
When a car is wrecked within 1.5 s of touching yours, the server looks at both cars just before the touch.
They wear in multiplayer races with pit stops on (never in solo time trials). At 0% your top speed drops a lot until you pit. These are the live values from the game.

All the seconds are added to your finish time, and show next to your name in the standings and the results.
A host (or admin) toggle. Switch it on at the top of this page to see the difference everywhere.
Automatically, on incidents, within the host's rules. At most 3 neutralisations per race, none within 45 s of the last one ending or in the first 3 s, and never stepping down from a stronger one.
Picks the rules in the lobby (π© Race control). During the race: VSC, safety car, red flag or green from the race menu (Esc), only the ones switched on, and βΉ End the race now: everyone still running is placed where they are on the track (and scores tournament points for it).
From the admin panel during any race: any flag (even ones the host switched off), the rules for that race, a yellow at a driver, a black flag, or ending the race.
